Board of Directors

Chong-Moon Lee
Co-Founder and Chairman
Pumpkin Networks

Chong-Moon Lee is the founder, CEO and Chairman of Diamond Multimedia Systems. The Company went through Initial Public Offering in April of 1995 with revenues in 1995 reaching $468 million and $598 million in 1996. Mr. Lee has started AmBex Venture Group, LLC.

As founder and CEO of Diamond Computer Systems, Mr. Lee directed Diamond to produce co-processor add-on boards for IBM PCs, which made it possible to run Apple IIe programs on IBM machines. In the early 1980s, most schools from elementary through 12th grade were equipped with Apple IIe computers, which had over 20 thousand software programs available. Diamond was the only Apple software in the world that was a compatible add-on board to IBM PC's produced in the USA. Thus, IBM appointed Diamond as a business partner and Diamond began supplying hardware to IBM. Simultaneously, Diamond produced high-end graphic accelerators, Stealth and Viper, the leading brand names in the market. Mr. Lee has led Diamond's emergence as the eighth fastest growing private company in Silicon Valley (San Jose Business Journal, 1993) and the 17th fastest growing private company in the USA (Inc. Magazine, 1993).

Mr. Lee is also a founding member and Board of Director of the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California. In addition to this honorable position, Mr. Lee has served as Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the US and Asia IT Summit for the past five years. He is also a Consulting Professor at the Asia Pacific Research Center of Stanford University in California.
